Hong Kong documents for an Indian company: legalisation and translation

CA Utsav Dogra, Chartered Accountant, ICAI M. No. 542375 · Updated

In brief

Indian authorities need the Hong Kong parent's certificate of incorporation and business registration certificate, its constitution, a resolution naming the investment and signatory, and identity papers for each director. Hong Kong notary and High Court apostille.

What is specific to Hong Kong companies

Hong Kong applies the Apostille Convention in its own right through the High Court registry. Confirm acceptance with the Registrar and bank; consular legalisation is the fallback.
