UAE documents for an Indian company: legalisation and translation

CA Utsav Dogra, Chartered Accountant, ICAI M. No. 542375 · Updated

In brief

Indian authorities need the UAE parent's trade licence or certificate of incorporation, its constitution, a resolution naming the investment and signatory, and identity papers for each director. Apostille where accepted, otherwise UAE and Indian attestation. Arabic documents need certified English translations.

What is specific to UAE companies

Confirm whether an apostille or the attestation chain applies for each document, and translate Arabic papers. Redoing attestation is the most common delay.
