Singapore documents for an Indian company: legalisation and translation

CA Utsav Dogra, Chartered Accountant, ICAI M. No. 542375 · Updated

In brief

Indian authorities need the Singapore parent's acra business profile and certificate of incorporation, its constitution, a resolution naming the investment and signatory, and identity papers for each director. Apostille by the Singapore Academy of Law (since September 2021).

What is specific to Singapore companies

The Singapore Academy of Law issues apostilles since Singapore joined the Convention in September 2021; the notary signs first. Documents are in English, so no translation is needed. Keep the register of registrable controllers ready for the Indian bank.
