What the UK parent must do at home after investing in India

CA Utsav Dogra, Chartered Accountant, ICAI M. No. 542375 · Updated

In brief

The UK parent's home-country obligations depend on Indian figures, so the two calendars need to meet. Typical points: distribution exemption and substantial shareholding exemption checks; uk transfer pricing under tiopa 2010. UK advisers confirm the home-country side.

What is specific to UK companies

UK private companies file accounts at Companies House within nine months of year end, so audited Indian figures are needed early. Large groups also report under CbCR and the UK's Pillar Two rules.
